| If you go deeper into the real 2JZ world, you'll be amazed of how many engines blow up and how unreliable they could be. I think it's all about the quality of the work done to it...Same happens with our VG's. My friend's yellow Supra TT BPU (that maybe some of you remember him, since I posted a couple of videos of my Z racing him a few years ago) with a little bit more than 60k miles (already rebuilt) have been a real nightmare since day 1...That car has been down the 90% of the time he has owned it. My friend is paranoic about how much money he puts on his Supra and how it keeps failing and failing (electrical and mechanical problems). We haven't even had the chance to race again for years, since his car is always at the shop or parked at his garage. The 2JZ's are good engines, but I think you only have heard the good stories about it.
